Come create music, lyrics and a promotional campaign with High School for Recording Arts, affectionately known as "Hip Hop High", and experience firsthand what makes the recording arts one of the most powerful avenues for culturally relevant education, especially in terms of dropout prevention and re-engagement. This deep dive will be led by one of High School for Recording Arts' successful recording artist alum along with current students who will demonstrate their unique approach to arts and social entrepreneurial based learning by leading attendees of the deep dive through the creative and marketing process. Afterwards, the alum, students and educators from HSRA and workshop attendees will discuss why the recording arts provide unique opportunities for learning and opportunities for educators to value the unique talents and cultures of their students.
