Limited Capacity full

In early 2017, Jobs for the Future commissioned an audit of our Students at the Center Hub website to assess needs around enhancing information, resources, and stories of how student-centered learning impacts equity in education and provide recommendations for future improvement. In this session, we will share findings from this report and discuss relevant takeaways for the deeper learning community. In particular, we'll examine opportunities to elevate core equity principles and social-justice education best practices, specifically within the areas of messaging and curated resources/tools. The session will consider driving questions, such as “How are key stakeholders included in your messaging design and development?” and “Does your messaging and resources provide multiple means of representation, action, expression, and engagement?” Come prepared to apply the recommendations to messaging or resources in your work; leave with concrete steps to enhance your public-facing materials in the future.
