Limited Capacity full

Grades are, in many ways, the coin of the realm. Students and teachers talk about grades all the time, but how often do we think about what they actually mean? What is their purpose? What are their effects on learning? What is their collateral damage? We hope to take participants on a playful romp through the verdant fields of pedagogy and assessment. We will ask participants to share their practices and philosophies around grading, we’ll examine current research, and demonstrate how you can do school without grades.
