  • Connect with powerful educators who care deeply about preparing students for college and their future careers.
  • Learn new ideas and practices that will help them teach for deeper learning competences and spread a love for deeper learning.

In a short amount of time we have seen that 2017 is going to be a critical year. Tension is at an all time high and our millennial generation has decided that we’re sick and tired of being sick and tired. We're too exhausted and desensitized to allow injustices to continue to be institutionalized, and want to create safe spaces for ourselves. Often times student voices are the ones left out and forgotten in conversations revolving around their education. This workshop is focused on the roles educators can play in student empowerment and their aid in students in better understanding social justice and equity. It's shared through the lense of Pittsburgh Public School’s Black Student Union and our recent accomplishments to reclaim our school system and give students the platform to make change.
