Deeper Learning 2017

The challenge and opportunity of supporting educators to develop and utilize assessments of, as, and for deeper learning has driven The Colorado Education Initiative (CEI) to utilize Human-Centered Design to create and implement multiple “on-ramps” to foster greater educator and learner capacity and agency. In this session, participants will be guided by CEI’s SpaceLab facilitation team and content specialists to engage in a human-centered design thinking process as we grapple with the topic of using assessment for deeper learning and to build greater educator agency. Participants will walk out the door having engaged with smaller design teams to use design thinking to develop a prototype and solution to a participant-identified challenge related to assessment for deeper learning.
