At DL2017 you will:

  • Learn new ideas and practices that will help them teach for deeper learning competences and spread a love for deeper learning.

Phil Jankowski is presently the Assistant Superintendent of the Armada Area Schools. The district has been recognized by the Michigan Department of Education as one of 14 Project ReImagine districts for its vision and innovation in education. He served previously as Armada High School Principal and was the MASSP Michigan High School Principal of the year in 2013. He began his career at Fitzgerald High School in Warren, Michigan, where he served as Assistant High School Principal and teacher and earned distinction as both district and Macomb County teacher of the year in 2004. He has presented at the Michigan Governor’s Education Summit on Universal Design for Learning and on integrating STEM disciplines into career preparation programs. In addition, he has presented for the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals on education equity and for the Michigan Institute of Education Management on teacher evaluations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from Wayne State University, an Education Specialist degree from Oakland University, and is currently completing his doctorate in education leadership also at Oakland University.
